Analysis of Implant Position
Measuring surgical outcome is paramount when using new implants and tools.
The study of “plan versus built” allows for the robust assessment of the delivery of the plan through image analysis. Sequential imaging can be used to monitor implant performance over time.
At Surgical Technology Lab we perform the analysis of implant position and orientation from CT data. This includes measurements such as cup and stem orientation, implant offsets. We evaluate their values in the context of patient’s anatomy and biomechanics and use optimal ranges according to the latest literature and best practice.
